First, a bit about myself. My name is Trevor Graff. I’m the editor, writer, web designer and the man in charge of Kansas Afield. As a sophomore journalism major at the University of Kansas, I am an avid sports fan. I work for KJHK 90.7 FM sports as a play-by-play announcer. In addition to broadcasting, I write for the University Daily Kansan covering the golf beat.
Growing up in Scott City, Kan., my father took me hunting and fishing at an early age. The outdoors have been my hobby ever since. My favorite experiences afield include many hours pheasant and deer hunting, but, in particular, walleye fishing on Lake Sakakawea near Pick City, N.D. and turkey hunting near Concordia, Kan.
Kansas Afield is an outdoors centric website I’ve created for journalism 415 at KU. My goal is to find and share interesting outdoors content, provide reaction to what’s happening in the outdoor industries, and even do some original reporting on outdoor activity in Kansas.
